Gold Unpacked collects page-view analytics through Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, standard server logs through its host, your email address if you subscribe to the newsletter, and whatever you choose to send by email. The site has no comments, no user accounts, and no payment forms.

What we collect
Analytics
Every page loads Google Tag Manager (container GTM-KGZZWD7Z). Google Analytics 4 (property G-7REZT9MV78) runs inside that container. Together they record:
- Pages viewed, time on page, and links clicked.
- Referring site or search, device type, browser, and approximate location derived from your IP address.
- A first-party cookie that lets Google Analytics count return visits.
We use this data to see which pages readers use and where they get stuck. We do not use it to target ads. Google processes it under the Google Privacy Policy.
Server logs
Hostinger hosts the site. Its web servers log each request: IP address, time, page requested, browser user agent, and referrer. We use these logs to diagnose errors and block abuse.
Newsletter
The newsletter sign-up form sends your email address to AWeber, which stores the list and sends each issue. AWeber also records your IP address, the time you signed up, and when you confirmed. Each issue records opens and link clicks. You receive nothing until you confirm by email, and every issue has an unsubscribe link. AWeber processes this data under the AWeber Privacy Policy.

If you email us, we keep your address and your message so we can reply and follow up.
Cookies
The only cookies the site sets are the Google Analytics cookies described above. The site sets no advertising cookies.
Analytics starts off for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland. It stays off unless you allow it. For visitors elsewhere, analytics starts on. A browser that sends a Global Privacy Control signal starts with analytics off.
You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings in the site footer. Declining removes the Google Analytics cookies from this site. The site stores your choice in your browser so it does not ask again.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Dealer links
Links to precious-metals dealers go to the dealer’s own website. Once you arrive there, the dealer’s privacy policy applies. A dealer may be able to tell that you came from Gold Unpacked. See how Gold Unpacked makes money for the payment side of those links.
Who we share data with
- Google, as the analytics provider.
- Hostinger, as the host.
- AWeber, as the newsletter provider.
- A legal authority, when the law requires it.
We do not sell personal data.
How long we keep it
- Google Analytics keeps event data for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account.
- Hostinger keeps server logs for the period its hosting service sets.
- We keep newsletter subscribers on the list until they unsubscribe. An unsubscribed address stays on a suppression list so it is not emailed again.
- We keep email correspondence until it is no longer needed to answer you.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email team@goldunpacked.com. Depending on where you live, state or national privacy law may give you further rights, such as the right to opt out of a sale of data. We do not sell data, so there is nothing to opt out of.
Children
The site is written for adults making retirement decisions. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
